Ground-penetrating radar device

Seismograph

Description/Purpose: It measures the time needed for induced seismic perturbation (by striking the ground with a sledgehammer) to travel from its origin to the geophones which are placed along a profile section. This device can be used for determining bedrock depth, searching for mineral deposits, studies of foundation, etc. Read more about the seismometer here.
